Accident – Death – Obituary News : Council Grove, KS (KROC-AM News)- Three individuals from Minnesota tragically lost their lives in a devastating head-on crash in Kansas during the Memorial Day Weekend. The incident occurred in Morris County, approximately 140 miles west of Kansas City, prompting authorities to respond to the scene.

The Kansas Highway Patrol swiftly arrived at the location of the fatal collision, which took place shortly before 4:00 on Saturday afternoon. The crash involved two vehicles, resulting in the loss of three lives and leaving several others hospitalized.

According to the crash report, an SUV carrying the Minnesotans was traveling south on a rural road when it collided head-on with a northbound pick-up truck that was reportedly driving in the middle of the road. The driver of the SUV, identified as 33-year-old Troy A. Sabean from Roseville, was accompanied by two passengers, 33-year-old Emma Porter of Roseville and 69-year-old Ann Porter of Fergus Falls, who were pronounced dead at the scene.

Additionally, two other passengers from the Minnesota vehicle, hailing from Edina, sustained serious injuries and were promptly hospitalized. The injured individuals have been identified as 64-year-old Kathleen M. Lebarron and 68-year-old Paul M. Porter. Authorities confirmed that all occupants in the Minnesota vehicle were properly restrained at the time of the accident.

The pick-up truck involved in the collision was occupied by a man and woman from Kansas. The driver, 53-year-old Andrew M. Steele, and his passenger, 51-year-old Lisa M. Steele, were also transported to a medical facility with suspected serious injuries.
