On May 26, Honolulu prosecutors announced that a 20-year-old man, Alize Ou, has been charged with murder and attempted murder in connection with a shooting that took place on May 16 at an illegal game room in Wahiawa.

Ou is facing charges of second-degree murder, first-degree attempted murder, attempted second-degree murder, and three firearms-related counts. He is currently being held on bail set at $1 million.

According to the complaint filed on Friday, Ou allegedly shot and killed Christopher Miyose during the incident. He also stands accused of attempting to kill Travis Key, for which he faces a charge of second-degree attempted murder. Additionally, Ou is charged with first-degree attempted murder, carrying a potential life sentence without the possibility of parole, for allegedly targeting more than one individual during the shooting.

The tragic event unfolded just after 9:30 p.m. on May 16 when three individuals entered an illegal gambling room located inside a residence in Wahiawa. The victims, aged 31, 22, and 29, were all shot by Ou, who was identified by the police as the perpetrator.

Miyose succumbed to his injuries at the scene, while the other two victims were rushed to the hospital in serious condition. The third victim’s identity has not been disclosed.

Following the shooting, Ou and other individuals present at the game room fled the scene before law enforcement arrived.
