A 20-year-old man from Stamford was shot in the head on Sunday afternoon in Stamford, according to reports from the local police department.
At approximately 2:52 p.m., officers from the patrol division were dispatched to the 30 block of Spruce Street in response to a shooting incident, as stated in a press release from the Stamford Police Department.
Upon arrival, law enforcement found the victim, identified as Kaysean Manning, with a gunshot wound to the side of his head. Manning was immediately rushed to Stamford Hospital where he underwent emergency surgery. As of Sunday evening, he was reported to be in stable condition.
The authorities revealed that several unidentified individuals were present at the scene when the shooting occurred and were observed fleeing the area shortly afterward.
