Marble Hill, Missouri (KFVS) – A devastating incident took place in Bollinger County, resulting in the untimely death of a Benton man. The Missouri State Highway Patrol Crash Report revealed that the fatal collision occurred at 12:15 a.m. on Sunday, May 26, on Hwy 34, west of Route Y, approximately 12 miles west of Marble Hill.

The tragic event unfolded when a passenger in a 2006 Club Car Golf Cart was ejected from the vehicle and subsequently struck by a Textron E-Z-GO. The victim, identified as 37-year-old Patrick L. Shelton from Benton, Missouri, tragically lost his life at the scene. Dr. Anna Delanis pronounced Shelton dead at 12:57 a.m.

This heartbreaking incident marks the 24th traffic fatality in MSHP Troop E’s jurisdiction this year, highlighting the urgent need for road safety awareness and responsible driving practices.
