Darri Moore : “Transgender Woman’s Body Found Along River”

ST. GENEVIEVE, Mo. (KMOV/Gray News) – The body of a transgender woman from St. Louis has been discovered along the banks of the Mississippi River, sending shockwaves through the community.

Darri Moore, 23, was identified as the victim by her family and friends, who are raising suspicions about the circumstances surrounding her death. They firmly believe that she would not have taken her own life.

Close friend Izzy Baker expressed disbelief at the idea of Moore committing suicide, stating, “She loved herself too much to walk out on that river.”

The grim discovery was made by employees of Tower Rock Stone in St. Genevieve, Missouri, who alerted authorities after finding Moore’s badly decomposed body on May 1.

Despite the state of decomposition, the autopsy results were inconclusive in determining the cause of death, leaving Moore’s loved ones desperate for answers.

While foul play has been ruled out by police, detectives are now appealing to the public for any information that could shed light on the case and prevent it from going cold.

Baker, along with Moore’s family, has set up a GoFundMe page to help cover funeral expenses and raise awareness about the dangers faced by transgender individuals.

Expressing frustration at the lack of answers, Baker urged anyone with information about Moore’s whereabouts or activities leading up to her disappearance to come forward and contact the St. Genevieve County Sheriff’s Office or CrimeStoppers.

“She has a story, and I want her story to be heard,” Baker emphasised.
