Accident – Death – Obituary News :

A tragic discovery was made along the banks of the Mississippi River in St. Genevieve, Missouri, where the body of a transgender woman from St. Louis was found. The victim has been identified as 23-year-old Darri Moore, whose death has left her family and friends in disbelief.

Darri Moore’s loved ones are raising suspicions about the circumstances surrounding her death, adamantly stating that she would never have taken her own life. Childhood friend Izzy Baker expressed, “She was not by herself. She loved herself too much to walk out on that river.”

The discovery of Moore’s body came after employees at Tower Rock Stone in St. Genevieve reported finding the remains along the river on May 1. Unfortunately, due to the advanced state of decomposition, the autopsy results were inconclusive in determining the cause of death.

Despite the lack of clarity from the autopsy, authorities have ruled out foul play in Moore’s death. However, detectives are now seeking the assistance of the public to help shed light on the circumstances leading to her tragic end.

Baker expressed the anguish felt by Moore’s family, stating, “I just hate that her mother doesn’t have any answers. Her father doesn’t have any answers. Her sister doesn’t have any answers. I don’t have any answers.”

In an effort to cover funeral expenses and raise awareness about the challenges faced by transgender individuals, a GoFundMe campaign has been set up. Baker hopes that this initiative will encourage individuals with information to come forward and provide closure to Moore’s grieving loved ones.

Those who may have information regarding Darri Moore’s whereabouts or the events leading up to her disappearance are urged to contact the St. Genevieve County Sheriff’s Office at (573) 883-5820. Anonymous tips can also be submitted through CrimeStoppers at (866) 371-8477.

Baker emphasised, “She has a story and I want her story to be heard.” The search for answers continues as the community rallies together to seek justice for Darri Moore.
