Emergency services were alerted to the situation following a distress call reporting a woman in distress at 76th and Seawall Boulevard around 6:30 a.m. on Sunday morning.
Witnesses revealed that Ramirez had been enjoying a day of body surfing with her brother when she found herself in trouble in the water. Fortunately, her brother and a quick-thinking bystander managed to pull her to safety and commenced CPR efforts.
