According to a statement from a CSPD lieutenant, the victim was assaulted by two male suspects and suffered significant bodily harm as a result of the attack. The suspects managed to flee the scene before the authorities arrived.
Following an extensive search effort, the police were able to locate both suspects several blocks south of the Maverik, in the vicinity of South Nevada and Navajo Street. After confirming their identities as the assailants, the two men, identified as Deonte Bridges and Kristopher Jackson-Smith, were taken into custody on felony assault charges.
As of Sunday morning, both suspects remain incarcerated at the El Paso County Jail, awaiting further legal proceedings.
