Two individuals have been arrested in connection with a shooting incident that took place late Saturday night in Carson City. The incident resulted in two individuals being airlifted to the hospital for medical treatment, as confirmed by the Carson City Sheriff’s Office.

The suspects, identified as Juan Martinez Jr., aged 22, and Jaquelinne Fuentes-Gomez, aged 24, both residents of Carson City, were apprehended early Sunday morning.

While the current condition of the victims remains undisclosed, Carson City Sheriff Ken Furlong stated that their injuries are believed to be non-life threatening.

Both suspects have been charged with two counts of battery with a deadly weapon causing substantial bodily harm, discharging a firearm into an occupied structure, and two counts of child endangerment with a deadly weapon, according to a statement released by the sheriff’s office.

Authorities were alerted to the shooting at approximately 10:20 p.m. on Saturday, prompting a response to the 3400 block of Woodside Drive in east Carson City. Multiple reports indicated that a shooting had occurred, with two individuals sustaining gunshot wounds and requiring urgent medical attention.

Upon arrival at the scene, deputies located the injured victims and provided immediate medical assistance before they were airlifted to Renown hospital in Reno for further treatment. The suspect, accompanied by a female accomplice and still armed with a handgun, had reportedly fled the area, according to the CCSO.

An extensive search was conducted over the ensuing hours, leading to the apprehension of both suspects around 2:30 a.m. Members of the Carson City Sheriff’s Office Special Enforcement Team discovered the suspects hiding in a trailer in the 3700 block of Reeves Street, where they were taken into custody without resistance.

Although the identities of the victims have not been disclosed, they are reported to be in stable condition. Both suspects are currently being held on a bond of £40,000.
