Police in Lucknow have launched an investigation after a shocking viral video surfaced showing a man being thrown off the terrace of a building and brutally thrashed by a group of assailants.
The distressing footage, captured from a nearby building, captured the harrowing moment when five attackers forcefully grabbed the man on the terrace and hurled him to the ground. The incident took place in India’s Lucknow city and has sparked outrage across social media platforms.
According to reports, the violent altercation was allegedly triggered by a financial dispute between the victim and the suspects. While the man miraculously survived the fall from the first floor of the building, the assailants proceeded to mercilessly beat him as he lay in excruciating pain on the ground.
Three of the assailants have been identified as Amit, Gautam, and Ankur, who were prominently featured in the viral video lifting the man and throwing him off the terrace. The other two suspects were seen eagerly waiting for the victim to hit the ground before viciously attacking him.
As the man writhed in agony on the ground, the identified suspects joined in the brutal assault, leaving the victim severely injured and traumatised.
The circulation of the distressing video on social media platforms prompted swift action from the local police, who swiftly registered a case and initiated investigations to locate and apprehend the suspects involved in the heinous crime.
Authorities have urged the Lucknow Police to take decisive legal action against the perpetrators, ensuring that justice is served in this shocking case of violence and brutality.
Notably, this incident comes on the heels of a similar shocking event where a youth was forcibly pushed off the terrace of a prestigious hotel during a wedding celebration in India’s Uttar Pradesh state. The disturbing CCTV footage captured the businessman’s son, Sarthak Agarwal, being callously thrown off the terrace following a heated altercation with another individual.
