A dramatic incident unfolded at a Chevron gas station in Fresh Pond, El Dorado County, as a 69-year-old man, identified as Robert Brewster, was arrested for allegedly entering the establishment with a loaded shotgun and pointing it at a customer on Saturday afternoon.
The El Dorado County Sheriff’s Office was alerted to the situation shortly after 4 p.m. at the Chevron located just east of Pollock Pines.
According to deputies, Brewster menacingly brandished the shotgun towards a customer inside the gas station, prompting employees and other customers to swiftly evacuate the premises.
Law enforcement quickly responded to the scene and successfully apprehended Brewster on multiple charges after he exited the gas station following negotiations with authorities.
