Accident – Death – Obituary News :

In a recent development, Misri Shah police in Lahore have apprehended a suspect for harassing a married woman in the area. The suspect, identified as Abdul Rahim, was a neighbour of the victim. The woman, who was residing with her children and husband, was alone at home when the incident occurred.

The suspect allegedly approached the woman and coerced her into taking pictures with him, using various means to harass her. Following the victim’s complaint, the police took prompt action, arresting the suspect and registering a case against him.

Two Fatalities in Lahore

Tragedy struck in Lahore as two individuals lost their lives in separate incidents on Saturday. A 65-year-old man was discovered deceased near Shahdara Mor, with authorities attributing his death to the intense heat.

In another unfortunate incident, a 50-year-old man succumbed to injuries sustained in a traffic accident within the jurisdiction of Chung police. The victim was fatally struck by a high-speed Mazda truck. The identities of both deceased individuals have yet to be established, and their bodies were transported to the mortuary by Edhi volunteers.

Arrest of Suspected Robbers

The Organised Crime Unit (OCU) Defence successfully apprehended two individuals suspected of carrying out robberies, particularly targeting citizens in affluent areas. The arrested suspects, identified as Kamran alias Kami and M Imran, were found in possession of 123 million rupees in cash and illegal weapons.

These individuals were implicated in numerous cases of dacoity, burglary, and robbery, with a modus operandi that involved targeting victims on main roads and upscale neighbourhoods. The police are conducting further investigations to uncover additional details.

Valuables Destroyed in Fire-related Incidents

In unfortunate incidents, valuables were destroyed in fires that broke out in two residences in Lahore on Saturday. The first incident occurred in Butt Chowk, Township, where a fire erupted due to a suspected short circuit. Despite efforts by nearby residents to contain the blaze, it quickly escalated, necessitating the intervention of Rescue-1122 to extinguish the flames.

Another fire incident was reported in Madina Colony, Shalimar Bagh, resulting in property damage but fortunately no loss of life or injuries were reported in this case.
