CHENNAI: A disturbing incident occurred at a private Urdu learning centre in Madurai where a nine-year-old boy, Shanavas, was fatally stabbed by a 13-year-old. The tragic event unfolded in the institution attended by students from Bihar, where the victim and the perpetrator were studying.
Reports suggest that the 13-year-old boy attacked Shanavas with a kitchen knife during a heated argument, resulting in the young boy’s untimely death. Following the brutal act, the assailant callously disposed of Shanavas’s body in a nearby sewer. When Shanavas went missing, the school authorities launched a search operation to locate him. Failing to find him, they contacted the police for assistance. During a thorough inspection of the premises, law enforcement grew suspicious of the 13-year-old’s behaviour, prompting him to confess to the crime during interrogation. Subsequently, Shanavas’s body was retrieved and sent for post-mortem examination.
It has been revealed that the hostel accommodates 13 students from Bihar who are pursuing their education at the institution.
