The woman who tragically fell to her death from a high-rise building in Fujairah, UAE, has been identified as Shanifa Babu. The 37-year-old was originally from Varkala, a town in the southern Indian state of Kerala. She had been residing in Fujairah with her husband, Sanooj Basheerkoya, and their two young daughters. Reports indicate that her husband is involved in the construction business.
Shanifa’s life came to a tragic end on a Saturday morning when her lifeless body was discovered near her home, having fallen from the 19th floor of a residential building located close to St. Mary’s School, as reported by Mathrubhumi News. Her body has since been taken to the Fujairah Hospital mortuary as authorities begin their investigation into the circumstances surrounding her untimely demise. As of now, official statements regarding the incident have not yet been released to the public.
This unfortunate incident took place just months after a 17-year-old Indian youth met a similar fate by falling from a building in Ajman. The young boy, a student in grade 12 at the Global Indian School Ajman, fell from the building where he resided. Ajman Police were the ones to discover his lifeless body and subsequently notified his grieving parents. Originating from the southern Indian state of Kerala, the boy leaves behind two younger sisters, his father who is an entrepreneur, and his mother who works as a nurse in Dubai.
