In the early hours of Saturday morning, two individuals were arrested for drug charges in Graves County, Kentucky, following a routine traffic stop. The Graves Co. Sheriff’s Office reported that a deputy pulled over a vehicle on the KY 121 Bypass near KY 80 at approximately 1:10 a.m. on May 25 for a traffic violation. Upon approaching the vehicle, the deputy detected a strong smell of marijuana emanating from inside.
Upon conducting a search of the vehicle, the deputy discovered 3.2 grams of cocaine, 7 grams of marijuana, a quantity of hallucinogenic mushrooms, and an assortment of drug paraphernalia. The driver, identified as 28-year-old Jeffery Terry from St. Charles, Missouri, and the passenger, identified as 28-year-old Alyssa Droney-Misbauer from St. Louis, Missouri, were both taken into custody by deputies with the Graves Co. RC Center.
Both Terry and Droney-Misbauer have been charged with first-degree trafficking in a controlled substance (cocaine), second-degree trafficking in a controlled substance (hallucinogen), possession of marijuana, and possession of drug paraphernalia. Additionally, Terry faces an additional charge of operating a motor vehicle under the influence of a controlled substance (DUI).
The pair are currently being held at an out-of-county detention center, awaiting further legal proceedings.
