Crystal Marie Moon : “Cracked windshield bust: drug suspect nabbed at Circle K”

An Apopka Woman Arrested for Drug Possession in Circle K Parking Lot

An Apopka woman, Crystal Marie Moon, found herself in trouble with the law once again when a deputy recognised her and discovered methamphetamine in her purse in a Circle K parking lot.

According to an arrest report from the Lake County Sheriff’s Office, a deputy spotted a blue Scion hatchback travelling northbound near Lochmore Circle at approximately 5:33 p.m. on Wednesday. The vehicle had a significant crack in the windshield, and the driver was identified as 35-year-old Crystal Marie Moon, who had encountered law enforcement on multiple previous occasions.

The deputy proceeded to conduct a traffic stop in the parking lot of a Circle K gas station situated at County Road 435 and Sorrento Avenue. Moon, upon the deputy’s activation of emergency lights, had exited her vehicle but was instructed to return. A check of her driver’s license revealed that it had been suspended since 2009 with a previous conviction for driving while license suspended or revoked.

Moon was then removed from the vehicle and placed under arrest in the back of a patrol car. She informed the deputy about the presence of methamphetamine, or “ice,” in her brown purse and requested her cell phone. After being apprised of her rights, she expressed a desire to speak with the deputy.

Upon further investigation, a small plastic bag containing a white substance that tested positive for methamphetamine was discovered in Moon’s purse. Additionally, a silver or clear Ziploc package containing a green leafy substance that tested positive for CBD was also found. Further search of the vehicle uncovered another clear Ziploc bag containing a white powdery substance under the driver’s seat near the centre console, which also tested positive for methamphetamine. Moreover, six sealed packages of Buprenorphine and two cut plastic straws with white residue inside were found.

Moon was subsequently arrested on charges of driving with a suspended or revoked license (second offence), possession of drug paraphernalia, and two counts of methamphetamine possession. She was transported to Lake County Jail, with bond set at £4,500.
