Pennsylvania State Police are currently conducting an investigation into a homicide that took place in the Fayette County community of Redstone Township.

According to a state police spokesperson, Troopers were alerted to a shooting incident at a residence on Second Street in Redstone Township at approximately 11:12 a.m. on Friday.

During the course of their investigation, police determined that two individuals, identified as Edmund Parson and James Tucker, were present in the living room of the home on Friday morning. It was reported that while the men were seated in the room, Parson retrieved a pistol from a storage box and proceeded to shoot Tucker twice.

Both men were swiftly transported to a nearby hospital, where Tucker was tragically pronounced deceased. Parson, on the other hand, received medical treatment and was subsequently released into police custody.

Authorities have confirmed that Parson is now facing a criminal homicide charge, as well as several other unspecified criminal offenses in connection to the incident.

The investigation into the shooting is still ongoing, with law enforcement officials actively working to gather further evidence and information related to the case.
