Accident – Death – Obituary News : Haryana has witnessed a voter turnout of 24% by 11.30 am on Saturday as the polling process commenced for the 10 Lok Sabha constituencies in the state. The turnout indicates active participation of the electorate in the democratic process.

The bypoll for the Karnal assembly seat, where Chief Minister Nayab Singh Saini is contesting, is also underway. This bypoll was necessitated by the resignation of his predecessor, Manohar Lal Khattar. It is a crucial election that will determine the political landscape in the region.

Tragically, in Sonepat’s Sersa Jati village, a 51-year-old clerk named Virender passed away due to a heart attack while on election duty at Pugthala government school. This unfortunate incident highlights the dedication and sacrifice of individuals involved in ensuring the smooth conduct of elections.

In Rohtak, there were reports of alleged misconduct as booth workers of the Congress party raised concerns about BJP leader and former minister Manish Grover gaining unauthorized access to booth number 118 near ITI in Rohtak city. A formal complaint has been lodged with the relevant authorities regarding this incident.

Despite these isolated incidents, the overall polling process has been peaceful, as confirmed by election commission officials. The smooth conduct of elections is crucial for upholding the democratic values of the nation.

The state of Haryana boasts a total of 2,00,76,768 registered voters, including 94,23,956 women and 467 individuals from the transgender community. This diverse electorate reflects the inclusive nature of the democratic process in the state.

According to data released by the Election Commission, the Bhiwani-Mahendragarh constituency recorded the highest turnout in the initial hours of polling, standing at 10.26%. On the other hand, Faridabad witnessed the lowest turnout at 5.46%. These statistics provide valuable insights into the voting patterns and preferences of the electorate in different regions of Haryana.

In the previous Lok Sabha elections in 2019, the BJP emerged victorious in all 10 seats in Haryana, showcasing its strong political presence in the state. This year, a total of 223 candidates, including Chief Minister Khattar, two Union ministers, and Congress stalwart Kumari Selja, are vying for the Lok Sabha seats in Haryana. The diverse pool of candidates reflects the competitive nature of the electoral process in the state.

The voting process will continue until 6 pm, allowing all registered voters to exercise their democratic right and contribute to shaping the future of Haryana. It is essential for the electorate to participate actively in the electoral process to ensure a fair and transparent election outcome..
