Accident – Death – Obituary News :
A 42-year-old man, identified as Ramachandra Sahu, was discovered dead on the railway tracks near Berhampur railway station in Ganjam district on Friday morning, according to local authorities. Ramachandra, the son of Jaya Sahu, resided in Bijipur Kalua Sahi under Town police limits in Berhampur.
Reports suggest that Ramachandra had travelled to Puri for business purposes and had made a stopover in Khurda on Thursday night. He had called his wife around 10 pm to inform her of his impending return.
However, when Ramachandra failed to arrive home as expected, his family members attempted to reach him but found his phone turned off. Concerned about his whereabouts, the family initiated a search but was unable to locate him.
Meanwhile, the Government Railway Police (GRP) in Berhampur received information about a body discovered on the tracks near Platform No. 2 at the local railway station on Friday morning. They promptly responded to the scene. Coincidentally, Ramachandra’s brother-in-law, Sanatan, who had been searching for him, arrived at the location and identified the body in the presence of the police. Notably, Ramachandra’s mobile phone and personal belongings were reported missing from the site, as per police statements.
