A suspect, identified as 45-year-old Taylor Cale Mizelle, has been apprehended by the Apopka Police Department for his involvement in two separate robberies at Fifth Third Banks in Apopka.
Details of the Robberies
The first robbery took place on May 8 at a Fifth Third Bank located at an address on S Orange Blossom Trail. The armed suspect entered the bank and demanded the employees to open the cash drawer. Fortunately, no injuries were reported during the incident.
Following this, another robbery occurred on May 20 at the same Fifth Third Bank branch. Again, the suspect, Mizelle, entered the bank and carried out a similar modus operandi of demanding cash from the employees.
Arrest and Confession
As a result of diligent investigative efforts, Apopka officers were able to identify Mizelle as the suspect. A search warrant was obtained for his residence which led to his arrest.
Upon questioning, Mizelle confessed to both Fifth Third Bank robberies in Apopka. He is currently in custody at the Orange County Jail facing charges related to the bank robberies.
