Gurugram: An 18-year-old woman tragically took her own life by jumping from the 15th floor of a residential society in Gurugram, as reported by the police on Thursday. The young woman, identified as Subhi, hailed from Gadoli village and worked as a domestic help in the Ramprastha Society in Sector 37D.
The heartbreaking incident came to the attention of authorities on Wednesday when a call was made to the police regarding the discovery of a deceased woman in the building. Officers swiftly responded to the scene and rushed her to the hospital, where medical professionals pronounced her dead.
A police spokesperson revealed that initial investigations point towards the possibility that the woman leapt from the 15th floor due to an alleged romantic entanglement. However, the victim’s family refrained from implicating any specific individuals in relation to the tragic event.
Following a post-mortem examination, officials handed over Subhi’s body to her grieving family.
Ongoing investigations continue to unfold the circumstances surrounding this devastating incident.
In a separate incident, a 30-year-old woman met a tragic end after reportedly falling from the thirteenth floor of an under-construction tower in a society near Noida. The woman, identified as Gangotri, was employed as a construction labourer at the La Residentia society. She resided with her husband, Vijay Tandon, within the same community, according to police sources. A police spokesperson disclosed receiving a notification from a private hospital at the Bisrakh police station, informing them of Gangotri’s untimely demise following a fall from the thirteenth floor of an under-construction tower in the society.
In a separate development, a 22-year-old labourer tragically lost his life, and a married couple sustained injuries when they were trapped under debris while excavating in the basement of a building in central Delhi’s Old Rajinder Nagar area, as confirmed by the police.
