MIAMI BEACH, FLA. (WSVN) – An angry man found himself in handcuffs after causing chaos at a South Beach tow yard in his attempt to retrieve his towed car, according to Miami Beach Police.

The dramatic events unfolded at Tremont Towing, located near 18th Street along Bay Road, on Saturday night. Police officers, some donning SWAT gear and armed with long guns, were called to the scene to deal with a man who had his car towed and allegedly tried to leave without paying.

Video footage captured the tense moments as the suspect, identified as Wizdom Fripp, attempted to drive his car off the tow lot. The arrest report revealed that Fripp was allowed onto the property by a front desk employee under the guise of retrieving his registration and driver’s license.

However, once inside the tow yard, Fripp took matters into his own hands. He reportedly entered a parked car, pushed it to clear a path for his own vehicle, and then proceeded to hit a BMW in his frantic escape attempt.

Employees at the tow yard tried to stop Fripp by forming a makeshift blockade with their tow trucks, but their efforts were in vain as one of their trucks was also struck by the suspect.

Authorities were alerted to the situation, and officers quickly arrived on the scene, bringing the chaotic scene to a halt. Customers waiting to retrieve their towed vehicles were informed that business operations were temporarily suspended due to the incident.

After a brief standoff, Fripp eventually exited his car and was apprehended at gunpoint by police. Thankfully, no injuries were reported, and business resumed as usual once the suspect was taken into custody.

Wizdom Fripp now faces multiple charges, including leaving the scene of an accident, petty theft, and resisting arrest.
