The Pune police conducted a thorough investigation on Thursday into the tragic incident involving a 17-year-old boy who crashed his Porsche Taycan car into a motorcycle, resulting in the deaths of two techies from Madhya Pradesh. As part of their inquiry, the police questioned the grandfather of the teenager, who is one of the owners of the realty firm that owned the Porsche car.
Additionally, the police grilled one of the friends of the teenager and the driver who were with him in the car at the time of the accident in Pune’s Kalyani Nagar area. The purpose of the interrogation was to verify and corroborate the sequence of events leading up to the tragic collision.
Forensic Examination of Porsche Taycan Car
The high-end Porsche Taycan car involved in the incident is currently in the possession of the Yerawada police station. The police conducted a forensic examination of the vehicle to collect technical evidence, including data from the GPS system and footage from the cameras surrounding the car.
According to a police officer, “A team today conducted the examination of the car, which is in the possession of the Yerawada police station. We have already carried out the forensic examination of the spot, and now the car has also been examined. The technical aspects such as GPS and the cameras around the car were thoroughly scrutinized.”
Additional Investigations and Legal Actions
The police are in the process of gathering CCTV footage of the entire route taken by the Porsche car, starting from the teenager’s house to various locations, including Cosie restaurant, Blak Club, and the accident spot. This meticulous approach aims to reconstruct the events leading up to the fatal crash.
The teenager’s bail was recently revoked, and he was remanded to a juvenile detention facility. Furthermore, the police have arrested his father for permitting his son to drive the car without a valid license. The owners of the establishments where the teenager allegedly consumed alcohol have also been apprehended for serving liquor to a minor illegally.
Reports suggest that the father of the teenager in legal trouble has claimed that the driver, not his son, was behind the wheel at the time of the accident. The police have seized the father’s phone to verify this assertion.
Tragically, two young IT professionals from Madhya Pradesh, Ashwini Koshta and Aneesh Awadhia, lost their lives in the devastating collision. The police may present the driver as a witness in the ongoing investigation, as reported by PTI.
