Authorities have identified the man who died in a fatal shootout at a massage parlor in southeast Wichita as 44-year-old Robexy Figueroa from Wyoming. The incident occurred on Wednesday afternoon, near the intersection of Lincoln and Southeast Blvd.
According to reports from the Wichita Police Department, Figueroa was armed with a gun and attempted to rob the massage parlor, leading to a confrontation with a 71-year-old man. The altercation escalated into an exchange of gunfire between the two men, resulting in Figueroa’s death at the scene.
The 71-year-old man, whose identity has not been disclosed, sustained injuries during the shootout and was promptly transported to a nearby hospital for treatment. Fortunately, he is expected to make a full recovery from his wounds.
