Nine individuals have been apprehended by Lower Merion Township police in connection with a series of burglaries targeting affluent homes in the area.

Collaborating with various local law enforcement agencies in Ohio, Connecticut, and New York, the initial arrest took place on December 9, 2023, in Bryn Mawr.

The first suspect, identified as 25-year-old Claudeo Fuentez-Soto, was captured as he attempted to flee a residence on Woodleave Road. Fuentez-Soto has been linked to a total of six burglaries and is currently being held at the Montgomery County Correctional Facility.

On December 23, 2023, four male suspects were arrested in Connecticut while in possession of burglary tools and stolen goods. They had travelled from New York in a vehicle suspected of involvement in two recent burglaries in Lower Merion Township, one in Plymouth Township, and others in Ohio and Pennsylvania.

The arrested individuals, Jason Anthony Flores-Caro, Facundo Russell-Moran, Guiovanni Herman Saladrigas-Garcia, and Franco Antonio Saladrigas-Garcia, have been charged with the burglaries in Villanova and Gladwyne in Lower Merion Township, as well as the Plymouth Township burglary. They are set to be extradited to Pennsylvania and Ohio.

Further arrests were made on March 26, 2024, when police apprehended a vehicle linked to the burglaries through surveillance footage. The vehicle was driven by 30-year-old Diego Marambio-Diaz, who was already in custody for an unrelated incident.

Upon investigation, Marambio-Diaz was connected to the burglaries in Lower Merion and Plymouth townships and has been formally charged with these offences.

Two additional suspects, identified as 22-year-old Jeffrey Saldarriaga and 22-year-old Johasir Cisterna, were arrested on April 23, 2024. During a routine traffic stop, officers discovered tools, jewellery, and other items taken in two burglaries in Lower Merion Township earlier that same night.

Both individuals have been charged with the Villanova and Bryn Mawr burglaries in Lower Merion Township, along with related offences. They are currently being held at the Montgomery County Correctional Facility on a bail amount of £75,000.

In a separate development, 26-year-old Manuel Alejandro Itzig Tennenbaum Vidal was implicated in the April 23 burglaries in Lower Merion Township and was taken into custody on May 21, 2024.
