Gillis neglected to turn on his body-worn camera, a violation of the LMPD policy on uniforms and equipment, specifically the body-worn camera section, according to the police chief. Facing charges of felony second-degree assault on a police officer, alongside lesser charges of third-degree criminal mischief, reckless driving, and disregarding signals from traffic-directing officers, Scheffler, a new father with an impeccable reputation, made it back to the golf course after being released from jail and went on to finish the tournament tied for 8th place.
