Authorities in Jackson County have identified the victim of a tragic train versus car collision that occurred in the Town of Alma. The individual who lost their life in this devastating incident has been named as 18-year-old Roman Fronk from Black River Falls.
According to an updated press release issued by the Jackson County Sheriff’s Office, the fatal collision took place on May 21, 2024, at approximately 5:22 p.m. The Sheriff’s Office received a distressing report of a train colliding with a car in the Town of Alma.
The subsequent investigation revealed that the vehicle involved in the collision failed to yield to the oncoming train, resulting in the tragic crash. Sadly, the driver of the car, Roman Fronk, was pronounced dead at the scene of the accident.
