The incident took place on North College Street and B Street on a Sunday evening around 8:12 p.m. A concerned citizen reported to the Carlisle Borough Police about a white pickup truck driving erratically. The truck was seen driving around a roundabout, leaving the roadway into a ditch, and even driving over a sidewalk, striking several cones in the process.
When the police arrived at the scene, they found the truck stopped at a stop sign on North College Street at G Street. To their shock, they discovered that the driver of the truck was a 14-year-old male, with Jonathan Storms sitting in the front seat. Storms, who reeked of alcohol, admitted to the police that he was teaching his young family member how to drive.
Arrest and Charges
After advising Storms to leave his vehicle parked and get it the next day when he was sober, he attempted to return to his truck just ten minutes later.
