WASHINGTON (DC News Now) — Authorities have apprehended a man wanted by the Metropolitan Police Department (MPD) in connection with a shooting incident in Northeast D.C. that left a father and his 5-year-old daughter injured.
On Wednesday, 29-year-old Alante Partlow, a resident of Northeast D.C., was located in Greensboro, NC, following a nearly month-long search after the shooting incident.
The shooting occurred on April 23 at approximately 11:30 p.m. in the 4800 block of North Capitol Street NE. Upon arrival at the scene, officers discovered a man and a 5-year-old girl who had sustained gunshot wounds.
Both victims were promptly transported to nearby hospitals for treatment of non-life-threatening injuries.
Shortly after the incident, Partlow was identified as a suspect, leading to the issuance of a warrant for his arrest. He has been charged with Aggravated Assault while Armed (Gun) and is known to have had a prior relationship with the victims.
The Metropolitan Police Department has confirmed that Partlow will be extradited from North Carolina back to the District to face the charges against him.
