A retired policeman is currently facing serious drug charges after being apprehended with suspected shabu valued at more than P1 million in Davao City on May 23, 2024.
The 60-year-old suspect, known by the alias “Erp”, was taken into custody during a drug bust operation in Barangay Los Amigos, Tugbok District.
Law enforcement authorities revealed that the operation was initiated following the arrest of another drug suspect who disclosed that his drug supplier was alias “Erp.”
The suspect, who had previously served in the Philippine National Police (PNP), was dismissed from the police force for undisclosed reasons.
Despite the overwhelming evidence against him, the suspect vehemently denied his involvement in the illegal drug trade, instead claiming that he had merely stolen the confiscated items.
Following his arrest, the suspect has been detained and is awaiting trial.
