Accident – Death – Obituary News :

A Pasadena resident, Art Leon Berian, aged 62, has been apprehended by authorities in connection with a series of more than 150 unidentified explosions that have occurred in the city over the past two years, as reported by the Pasadena Police Department.

The alleged incidents include 14 explosions that took place in the vicinity of Allen Avenue and Washington Boulevard within the last fortnight. Investigators were able to identify Berian as the prime suspect following a fortuitous discovery on May 16, when detectives gathering video evidence of a previous blast were startled by yet another detonation, accompanied by a white cloud forming in front of them.

During their subsequent search of the area, law enforcement officers spotted Berian’s 2013 BMW, one of two vehicles linked to the same owner that had been sighted at previous explosion sites. Berian was taken into custody, and evidence related to the latest blast was recovered from his vehicle.

Despite the intensity of the explosions, which were carried out with apparent intent to injure or intimidate, no injuries have been reported in connection with any of the incidents. Berian now faces three felony charges related to the explosions and has been detained at Pasadena City Jail on a bail amount of $1.5 million.

Contrary to initial reports, jail records indicate that Berian is currently being held at Men’s Central Jail on a bail sum of $2.02 million. The Pasadena Police Department has confirmed that he is being held without bail, with his arraignment rescheduled for May 30.
