The Independence Police Department is currently investigating a tragic crash that took the life of a Raytown man on Tuesday afternoon. The incident occurred at approximately 2:30 p.m. near the intersection of Noland Road and US 40 Highway.
According to authorities, the crash involved a Dodge Dart and a BMW M3. The Dodge was struck by the BMW, resulting in serious injuries to the Dodge’s driver. The victim, identified as 87-year-old Charles Hall from Raytown, was rushed to a nearby hospital for treatment. Unfortunately, he succumbed to his injuries approximately two hours after the collision.
At this time, the driver of the BMW M3, who has not been named by police, remained at the scene of the accident and is cooperating with the ongoing investigation.
