Paul Richardson : Atlanta man arrested for Acworth Wendy’s armed robbery in Indiana: Suspect in custody.

ACWORTH, Ga. – Authorities in Acworth, Georgia, were called to the scene of an armed robbery at a Wendy’s restaurant located on Baker Road on May 19. Reports indicate that a masked individual entered the establishment, brandishing a weapon, and demanding money from the staff.

Upon their arrival, law enforcement officers discovered that the suspect had already fled the scene in a red pickup truck with an undisclosed sum of money. The Acworth Police Department’s Criminal Investigations Division quickly sprung into action, following leads and utilizing FLOCK cameras to track the stolen vehicle’s movements. It was later determined that the truck used in the robbery had been reported stolen through the Atlanta Police Department and was subsequently recovered in Jeffersonville, Indiana.

Further investigations revealed that the suspect, identified as 23-year-old Paul Richardson from Atlanta, allegedly committed another armed robbery while in Jeffersonville. Detectives were able to connect Richardson to the armed robbery in Acworth, leading to his arrest by the Jeffersonville Police.

Richardson is currently in custody in Jeffersonville, awaiting extradition to Cobb County where he will face a slew of charges, including armed robbery, aggravated assault, and false imprisonment.
