Accident – Death – Obituary News :

In a recent development, the Hamilton County Coroner’s Office has identified another set of human remains recovered at the former residence of Herb Baumeister in Westfield, Indiana. The remains, originally found in 1996 at Fox Hollow Farm, have been identified as belonging to Jeffrey Jones.

This discovery follows the identification of Allen Livingston’s remains last year, who was reported missing in 1993. Jones is now the third individual to have been identified through remains found at the farm.

History of Fox Hollow Farm

Fox Hollow Farm was once the home of Herb Baumeister, an infamous Indiana serial killer. It is believed that Baumeister lured gay men to his property in the mid-80s and mid-90s before murdering them and disposing of their bodies on the premises.

The identification of Jones’ remains was made possible through an extensive forensic genetic genealogy investigation conducted by the coroner’s office and the FBI. Jones, a resident of Fillmore, was reported missing in August 1993.

Challenges in the Investigation

Over 10,000 remains, including bones, fragments, and body parts, have been recovered at Fox Hollow Farm. Despite the challenging nature of the investigation due to burnt and crushed remains, the dedicated team of law enforcement and forensic specialists remains committed to the case.

Jeff Jellison, the Hamilton County Coroner, expressed gratitude towards the FBI, Indiana State Police Laboratory, Dr. Krista Latham of the Biology & Anthropology Department at the University of Indianapolis, and DNA experts from Othram Laboratory in Texas for their invaluable contributions.

Unidentified DNA Profiles

There are still four DNA profiles that remain unidentified, which will be forwarded to the FBI for further genetic genealogy investigation. This brings the total number of potential victims to 12.

The investigation into the Fox Hollow Farm case began in 1996 when Baumeister’s son discovered bones on the family’s 18-acre estate. Baumeister passed away in 1996.

Stay tuned for further updates on this ongoing investigation into the dark history of Fox Hollow Farm and the crimes committed by Herb Baumeister.
