– Man missing since 2021.

Accident – Death – Obituary News : Authorities have confirmed that the human remains discovered behind a residence in Easton earlier this month belong to a man who had been missing for almost three years. The bones were identified as those of Mathew Yeomans, a 25-year-old resident of 113 Summer Street, according to Bristol County District Attorney Thomas Quinn III.

Yeomans was reported missing by his grandfather on September 19, 2021, during a period when he was struggling with mental health issues. His wallet, ID cards, and cell phone were all found at his home at the time of his disappearance, but he was never located.

The discovery of what appeared to be a human skull by a homeowner a few houses down from Yeomans’s residence on May 1, 2024, led to further investigation by State Police, Easton Police, and the Bristol County DA’s Office. Additional skeletal remains were uncovered in the area, and the Office of the Chief Medical Examiner used dental records to confirm their connection to Yeomans. However, no cause or manner of death has been determined at this time.

Authorities have reassured the public that there is currently no threat to safety, and the investigation into Yeomans’s death is ongoing. As more information becomes available, updates will be provided on this developing story.
