Twinkle Raut : Nagpur Woman Kills Daughter, Walks 4 KM with Body – India News

A shocking incident unfolded in Nagpur, Maharashtra, as a woman reportedly killed her three-year-old daughter following an argument with her husband. The tragic event took place within the jurisdiction of the MIDC police station on Monday evening, leaving the community in disbelief.

The accused, identified as Twinkle Raut (23), had moved to Nagpur with her husband, Rama Laxman Raut (24), four years ago in search of employment, according to PTI reports. The couple worked at a paper products company and resided in a room on the firm’s premises on Hingna Road in the MIDC area.

Reports suggest that their relationship was tumultuous, marked by frequent quarrels stemming from mutual distrust. On the fateful day, the couple had another heated argument around 4 pm, during which their daughter began crying. In a moment of rage, the woman allegedly took the child outside and strangled her to death under a tree.

After committing the heinous act, Twinkle Raut reportedly walked around the streets with her daughter’s lifeless body for nearly four kilometres. It wasn’t until around 8 pm that she encountered a police patrol vehicle and informed the officers about the tragic incident. The police immediately rushed the child to a nearby hospital, but sadly, the doctors declared her dead upon arrival.

Following the discovery of the crime, the MIDC police arrested Twinkle Raut and charged her under Section 302 (murder) of the Indian Penal Code. She appeared before a court, which remanded her to police custody until May 24 for further investigation.
