Authorities in Milwaukee have arrested a 13-year-old boy in connection to the tragic shooting that claimed the lives of two 15-year-old boys over the weekend. The incident took place near S. 14th St. and W. Halsey Ave. at approximately 10:30 p.m. on Saturday, May 18th.
The victims have been identified as Monroe Weso and Alejandro Sanchez, who were described as best friends by their family members. In response to this heartbreaking loss, Weso’s family has launched a GoFundMe campaign to raise funds for his burial at the Menominee Reservation. Similarly, Sanchez’s family has also set up a fundraising account to cover the expenses associated with his funeral arrangements.
Despite the arrest of the 13-year-old suspect, the Milwaukee County District Attorney’s Office has yet to file any charges in connection to the double homicide. The Milwaukee Police Department is actively seeking two additional suspects believed to be involved in the crime.
