Antoniquette Rigsbee, a 47-year-old woman, has been charged with murder, first-degree kidnapping, and stalking in relation to the death of 43-year-old Samuel Carr.
The tragic incident occurred in the early hours of March 28, when Durham police responded to a report of a gunshot wound on Old Chapel Hill Road. Upon arrival at the scene, officers discovered the lifeless body of Samuel Carr. Despite their best efforts, he was pronounced dead on site.
Following an extensive investigation, Antoniquette Rigsbee voluntarily surrendered herself at the Durham County Jail on Monday. She is currently in custody without the option of posting bond.
