Accident – Death – Obituary News : Three Indian-American students tragically lost their lives in a car accident in Alpharetta, Georgia, with two others sustaining injuries. The incident occurred on May 14 on Westside Parkway in Alpharetta, North of Maxwell Road, sending shockwaves through the local community.

The victims, all 18 years old, included two young women. Alpharetta Police stated that speeding was likely the primary cause of the fatal crash, resulting in the vehicle overturning. The five teenagers involved were students at Alpharetta High School and the University of Georgia. The deceased were identified as Aryan Joshi, a senior at Alpharetta High School, Sriya Avasarala, and Anvi Sharma, both first-year students at the University of Georgia.

Rithwak Somepalli, a student at Georgia State University, and Mohammed Liyakath, a senior at Alpharetta High School, sustained injuries in the accident. The driver lost control of the Honda Accord, causing it to flip and land in a tree line. Aryan Joshi and Sriya Avasarala were pronounced dead at the scene, while Anvi Sharma succumbed to her injuries at North Fulton Hospital.

Avasarala was a member of the UGA Shikaari dance team, Sharma was a singer in the UGA Kalakaar music group, and Joshi was a senior at Alpharetta High School and a member of the school’s cricket team, according to the Atlanta Journal-Constitution.

This tragic incident follows another fatal car crash in South Carolina in April, where three women from Gujarat lost their lives. Rekhaben Patel, Sangitaben Patel, and Manishaben Patel died when their SUV veered off the road, launching into the air before colliding with trees in Greenville County.

The three women had been residing in Georgia before the unfortunate accident. The Alpharetta community mourns the loss of these promising young lives, highlighting the importance of road safety and vigilance while driving.
