The Allegheny County Police Department has apprehended a 21-year-old man from North Huntingdon Township in connection with an investigation into unlawful contact with a minor in South Park Township.
The arrest of Michael McFarland came after the police received a report from ChildLine on March 11, 2024, which outlined an incident involving a seven-year-old girl.
According to reports, McFarland allegedly directed the child to take an inappropriate photo of herself during a Bible study session at a residence in South Park Township.
During the investigation, detectives uncovered 11 photographs of seven juvenile females on McFarland’s phone. However, they have been unable to identify the additional minors in the images recovered.
McFarland is now facing multiple charges, including unlawful contact with a minor and criminal solicitation.
