The young victim, identified as Lavanya, the daughter of Keralinga, was playing with six other children when the vicious attack occurred.
It was reported that fifteen days prior to the tragic incident, a group of children, including Lavanya, were playing in the vicinity when a stray dog suddenly pounced on them. Lavanya sustained severe injuries, including bites on the back of her neck and other parts of her body. Following the attack, Lavanya was rushed to the hospital for treatment and was subsequently discharged two days ago. However, despite the medical attention she received, Lavanya’s condition deteriorated, and she tragically succumbed to her injuries.
Expressing his grief and shock over the loss of his daughter, Keralinga revealed that the attack took place right in front of their residence, leaving the family devastated. He called upon the authorities to take swift action to prevent similar incidents from befalling other children in the village.
The villagers voiced their concerns over the lack of response from the authorities following the attack, emphasizing the urgent need for measures to safeguard the community.
