Lavanya : “Tragic Karnataka Dog Attack: 4-Year-Old Girl Succumbs”

Raichur, May 21: A heartbreaking incident unfolded in Koravinahala village, located in Karnataka’s Raichur district, as a four-year-old girl lost her life to a stray dog attack. The young victim, identified as Lavanya, daughter of Keralinga, fell prey to the vicious attack and succumbed to her injuries on Tuesday. The entire village is mourning the loss of the little girl in this tragic incident.

The unfortunate incident occurred just fifteen days after seven children were attacked by the same stray dog while they were playing. Lavanya sustained severe injuries on the back of her neck and other parts of her body during the attack. Despite receiving medical treatment and being discharged from the hospital two days prior, Lavanya tragically passed away at her residence.

Lavanya’s father, Keralinga, expressed his grief and shock over the incident, highlighting that his daughter was attacked right in front of their home. He has urged the local authorities to take immediate action to prevent such incidents from happening to other children in the village. The villagers are deeply concerned as no official visit has been made to inquire about the welfare of the affected children.

Following the attack, the villagers took matters into their own hands and eliminated the dog responsible for the tragedy on the same day. Kariyappa, the Panchayat Development Officer of Samagakunta village, has assured that a rescue team will be dispatched to address the issue of stray dogs attacking people in the area.

Furthermore, Kariyappa revealed that the dog in question was not local and had strayed from a different region before attacking the children. This revelation has sparked outrage among the villagers, who believe that negligence on the part of the authorities played a role in the tragic event. The community is calling for immediate action to prevent similar incidents from occurring in the future.

As the village mourns the loss of Lavanya and prays for the recovery of the other children still undergoing treatment, the authorities have been urged to take swift and effective measures to ensure the safety of all residents, especially the young ones, from such tragic incidents.
