On Tuesday, a devastating incident occurred in Madya Pradesh’s Raigarh district as a passenger bus tragically fell off a bridge, resulting in the loss of two lives and leaving 41 individuals injured.
The ill-fated passenger bus was en route from Indore to Ashoknagar when it met with the unfortunate accident near Pachore. With 43 passengers on board, the bus plummeted off the bridge, causing significant injuries to the majority of those on board.
Following the harrowing incident, local administrative and police authorities swiftly responded to the scene, providing aid and support to the injured individuals. Shockingly, the bus driver and conductor absconded from the site after the accident, leaving behind a trail of devastation.
The injured victims were promptly transported to Pachore Hospital with the assistance of a tractor-trolley. Subsequently, they were referred to Shajapur for further medical treatment and care.
Tragically, one of the deceased has been identified as 21-year-old Hariom, son of Hazrat Singh Bhatoli. However, the identity of the second individual who lost their life in the accident remains unknown, adding to the sorrow and grief surrounding the incident.
This unfortunate event comes in the wake of a series of road accidents that have plagued Madhya Pradesh in recent times. Just a week prior, on May 13, three separate road accidents occurred within a span of 24 hours in the districts of Seoni, Rajgarh, and Chhindwara, claiming the lives of eight individuals and injuring 24 others.
In one such incident in the Peelu Khedi area of Rajgarh district, on NH-46, a military truck collided with two other vehicles, resulting in the tragic deaths of two individuals and injuries to 15 others.
