NASHVILLE, Tenn. (WKRN) – The Metro Nashville Police Department (MNPD) is actively searching for two individuals who have been reportedly posing as hotel guests while committing burglaries in the area. The suspects have been targeting hotel rooms, stealing valuable belongings from unsuspecting guests.

The incident was reported on Sunday, May 5, when victims at the Westin Hotel, located in the 800 block of Clark Place, discovered that several thousand dollars worth of their possessions had been stolen from their room. The MNPD is urging the public to remain vigilant and report any suspicious activity.

One of the suspects involved in the burglaries has been identified as 53-year-old Ronald Fillinger Jr. The identity of his accomplice has not been released at this time. Fillinger was captured on surveillance footage during the burglary at the Westin Hotel, leading to warrants being issued against him for aggravated burglary and theft of property.

Authorities have also issued two additional warrants against Fillinger for aggravated burglary in separate cases. The MNPD is actively pursuing leads to bring the suspects to justice.

Previous Incidents Linked to Fillinger

Police investigations have linked Fillinger to previous incidents of burglary in the area. On March 26, Fillinger allegedly used an employee’s key card to gain access to a room at the Courtyard by Marriott on West End Avenue. He reportedly stole nearly $1,000 worth of items from the room before leaving behind a piece of luggage containing his identification.

Additionally, on March 20, Fillinger is believed to have stolen multiple items from a room at the Wyndham Hotel on McGavock Pike. Some of the stolen items were later found in the luggage that Fillinger abandoned at the Courtyard by Marriott.

Community Assistance Needed

Records indicate that Fillinger was most recently arrested on January 31 after being found sleeping in an unoccupied room at the SoBro Apartments & Homesharing on Lea Avenue. The public is urged to report any information regarding the suspects to Crime Stoppers at 615-742-7463.

As the investigation continues, residents and visitors are advised to remain vigilant and report any suspicious activity to local authorities. The MNPD is working tirelessly to apprehend the suspects and ensure the safety and security of the community.
