Four young suspects have been taken into custody following a drive-by shooting that took place on Sunday in Volusia County, according to the Volusia County Sheriff’s Office.

The suspects have been identified as 18-year-old Zared Castaneda, 15-year-old Jesus Castaneda, 15-year-old Angel Ruiz-Rios, and 16-year-old Brian Hernandez.

Law enforcement officials responded to a call at approximately 11:52 p.m. reporting a shooting at a residence on Shaw Lake Road.

Although the shooting caused damage to the front of the house, including bullet holes in a wall and a TV, fortunately, no injuries were reported.

The suspects were apprehended during a traffic stop after their vehicle, a red Toyota Tacoma, was spotted. Upon searching the truck, deputies discovered guns, ammunition, and shell casings.

The four suspects are facing a range of charges, including aggravated assault with a weapon, firing a gun from a vehicle, and possession of a firearm as minors.

In addition, Zared Castaneda has been charged with contributing to the delinquency of a minor and is currently being held at the Volusia County branch without bond. The remaining suspects are in the custody of the Department of Juvenile Justice.
