You see, he had a little tantrum here and there. I figure that was normal for a kid his age, you know. I have two daughters his age, so I didn’t think nothing of it,” Genao told WESH 2 News.
As of now, authorities have not disclosed a motive for the alleged shooting, and there are no other suspects being sought in connection with the case. The child appeared in juvenile court the following day, where numerous relatives attended the hearing to show support.
During the court proceedings, a family member revealed that the boy had been under his mother’s guardianship since he was just 6 weeks old. The relative emphasised that the child may not fully comprehend the gravity of his actions, stating, “He doesn’t understand what’s going on. I don’t even think he knows he killed her.”
