A 61-year-old man named Riyaz Khan from Aynavaram in Chennai has been reported missing after an incident at a waterfalls under Boothapandi police station limits on Saturday. The man had gone for a bath along with three others – Rajagopal (61), Selvam (62) from Nagercoil, and Ramakrishnan (68) from Kallidaikurichi in Tirunelveli district. All four men were former employees of the Department of Labour and had attended a wedding in the town before visiting the Ulakkai waterfalls.

According to the police, the group was caught in flash floods that dragged them into the water. While the public managed to rescue Rajagopal, Selvam, and Ramakrishnan, Riyaz Khan could not be found. The incident occurred on Saturday evening, and despite the efforts of firefighters from Nagercoil Station, the search operation had to be called off due to heavy rains and poor visibility.

As of Sunday evening, Riyaz Khan remains unaccounted for, and the search operation is ongoing to locate him. The authorities are conducting a thorough investigation into the incident.
