Orlando Samaroo : “Belle West Teen Tragically Killed Over Past Feud”

Kaieteur News – A devastating incident occurred in Belle West, West Bank Demerara (WBD), resulting in the untimely death of 19-year-old Orlando Samaroo. The young man tragically lost his life after being brutally stabbed multiple times by a 31-year-old miner on Thursday.

The victim, Orlando Samaroo, resided at Lot 439 in Belle West, WBD. The fatal altercation took place at Belle West (Phase #2) between Thursday and Friday, shattering the peace of the community.

According to law enforcement authorities, the tragic incident unfolded around 2:00 PM on Thursday, as Samaroo was sitting under a bus shed at Phase #2, Belle West, in the company of other individuals. The accused, armed with a knife, approached Samaroo and mercilessly stabbed him multiple times in the abdomen before fleeing the scene on foot.

Samaroo was swiftly transported to the West Demerara Regional Hospital for urgent medical attention. However, due to the severity of his injuries, he was subsequently transferred to the Georgetown Public Hospital, where he tragically succumbed to his wounds on Friday morning.

The lifeless body of Orlando Samaroo now rests at the GPHC’s mortuary, awaiting a post-mortem examination to determine the exact cause of death.

As the investigation unfolds, the police are actively seeking the suspect to ensure justice is served in this grievous incident.

Furthermore, Kaieteur News has learned that prior to this fatal encounter, Orlando Samaroo and the suspect had a history of conflict. Allegations suggest that weeks ago, Samaroo had reportedly assaulted and robbed the suspect, leading to simmering tensions between the two individuals.

Through their inquiries, the police have uncovered several instances of misunderstandings and disputes between the deceased and the suspect following the initial altercation.
