Accident – Death – Obituary News : AUSTIN, Texas – A woman has been taken into custody after a violent altercation involving a metal pole and a knife unfolded in east Austin, as per an arrest affidavit.
The incident took place near 8406 Garcreek Circle in east Austin, where an officer on duty heard a commotion. Upon investigation, the officer encountered 30-year-old Naomi Castillo brandishing a metal pole and threatening multiple individuals.
Following the incident, Castillo was apprehended and the victim, who was seated on a sidewalk chair adjacent to the scene, recounted the harrowing experience. The victim disclosed that Castillo had initially approached and sat beside her, but when asked to move, Castillo became confrontational and physically aggressive.
Subsequently, the victim attempted to distance herself by crossing the street. However, Castillo pursued her with the metal pole and a knife in hand. A confrontation ensued, resulting in the victim sustaining cuts to her arm, shoulder, and pinkie, with the latter being dislocated during the scuffle.
In a bid to defend herself, the victim grappled with Castillo in an attempt to disarm her. Unfortunately, the victim sustained further injuries from the knife and the pole during the struggle.
As a consequence of her actions, Castillo was arrested and now faces charges of Aggravated Assault with a Deadly Weapon.
