Fatal car crash in Abilene

ABILENE, Texas (KTAB/KRBC) – A devastating multi-vehicle collision took place on Saturday afternoon, resulting in the unfortunate death of a driver in Abilene.
Emergency services were dispatched to the scene on the 3200 block of South Danville Street around 12:15 p.m. in response to a crash involving three vehicles.
According to reports, a Honda Accord was travelling northbound when it veered off the roadway at the onramp to Winter’s Freeway. The vehicle then proceeded to pass through the grassy area, making contact with a GMC Yukon in a side-swiping motion. Continuing its course north, the Honda collided with an Audi before finally coming to a halt on the eastern side of Danville.
The driver of the Honda has been identified as 58-year-old Nicole Nash, who tragically lost her life in the accident. Her body is scheduled to undergo examination at the medical examiner’s office to determine the exact cause of death. Authorities have ruled out alcohol as a contributing factor to the crash, and fortunately, no other injuries were reported at the scene. The investigation into the incident remains ongoing.
